When I was growing up the height of sophistication in coffee terms was having a stove-top perculator or a cafetiere. These days though home coffee machines the produce a professional-quality espresso or cappuccino are all the rage and with advances in technology, as with other gadgets, good ones are becoming increasingly more affordable.
Take one of my favourite coffee machines – the Nespresso Citiz – for example. It is one of the new breed of pod coffee machines and it makes producing a top quality coffee absolutely idiot-proof. The Nespresso CitiZ has 19 bars of pressure and comes with an Aeroccino attached which can create both hot and cold milk drinks. It takes less than a minute to make a single espresso. It does have a single espresso button which produces a 25ml shot of coffee. You can, however manually change the amount if you want to vary the strength.
